Lunar New Year Camp

We offer regional camps at Guidepost schools in Bali, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Xian and Hong Kong. Our Bali camp is a great option for families traveling during the holiday period, sure to create lasting memories for your child and the whole family.

Program for children up to 6 years old

Join the festivities as we welcome the Lunar New Year with a week full of culture, color, and celebration! Children will learn about zodiac animals, practice grace and courtesy through festive traditions, prepare simple Chinese snacks, create lion dance props, and participate in a joyful end-of-week parade. A wonderful way to build cultural awareness and community spirit.​

The Mandarin Immersion option is available at our Mid-Levels and Repulse Bay campuses from February 11–13, while the Dual-Language (English & Mandarin) option is offered at all selected campuses on all days. Please indicate your preferred option when making the booking.

Academy of Innovation Primary School

Program for children ages 6 to 12 years old

Rooted in culture and storytelling, this camp explores the rich traditions of Lunar New Year. Students will learn the stories of the zodiac animals, take part in festive customs, and discover the science behind the lunar calendar. Blending history, astronomy, and creativity, this camp connects timeless traditions with hands-on exploration.

Experience the rhythm of Cantonese life through nursery rhymes and cultural play. Children engage in Montessori work cycles, outdoor movement, and themed cultural activities—awakening the senses and building early bonds with local traditions.

Children’s House Program:
Our Children's House program seamlessly blends authentic Montessori education with immersive cultural experiences, offering young learners a structured daily journey that starts with Montessori work cycle and outdoor gross motor activities in the morning, followed by afternoon activities including Cantonese nursery rhymes and fingerplays, hands-on Guangzhou cultural programs, and specialized courses in English mathematics, science, arts, and music—all designed to foster academic growth while deepening connections to Cantonese heritage within a nurturing, child-centered environment.

Our Hangzhou camp offers a perfect blend of authentic Montessori education and deep immersion in the elegant Song Dynasty culture. Each day features our signature Montessori work cycle, outdoor gross motor development, and themed circle times that introduce children to Hangzhou's rich heritage. Through our specialized Song Dynasty Culture Program, young learners experience the artistic refinement and philosophical wisdom of this golden age in Chinese history. The program includes hands-on cultural activities and afternoon themed cycles that bring classical learning to life. Children will engage in tea ceremonies, traditional craft-making, and cultural explorations that foster both academic growth and meaningful connections to China's profound historical legacy.

Travel back to the elegant Song Dynasty in the poetic city of Hangzhou. Each day unveils a new facet of Jiangnan culture:

Our Xi'an camp seamlessly integrates authentic Montessori education with immersive exploration of the ancient Chang'an culture. Each day begins with our signature Montessori work cycle and outdoor gross motor activities, followed by Themed Circle Time that introduces children to the wonders of China's historic capital. Through our specially designed Chang'an Culture Program, young explorers discover the rich heritage of the Silk Road era, complemented by hands-on experiences. Afternoons feature engaging themed activities including traditional games, classical music, imperial art projects, and STEAM challenges inspired by ancient Chinese innovations – creating a perfect harmony of historical appreciation and contemporary learning.
